Life is a Highway 2

I know, you probably think you are seeing things...
this layout actually has pictures on it. Amazing right!?!
(Click pic to see the details)
While I was getting ready to make a layout for eBay, I found that I had plenty of this paper that my friend Ash gave me to make a whole other layout exactly that same which is kind of rare. So I decided to make the same layout for myself. It didn't come out exactly the same but it is very similar and I already found pictures to put on it. What do you think?? I LOVE it because I haven't made a layout for myself in ages... seriously, I don't remember the last!

If you like these Classic Vehicle paper piecings,
well you are in luck... you can get the files over at
The Paper Piecing Beehive!

Click HERE for a direct link to the car files.

The details:
I put some extra car pics on the hidden photo mat...

Gotta love this title... I can't quit singing it!

NEW KNG kit... Magic of Christmas

I love, love, LOVE this kit... I know I always say that, but I really do love this one! If you would like to see what is included in the kit and another example visit...

Kits N Giggles

Magic of Christmas

And FYI...
we still have a few more kits left from summer
& Halloween, so get them while you still can!

Here is what I made using the kit...
Shay was 2 in these pictures... she sure has grown!
The snowman (Frosty) and the gingerbread man (Gingy) are the included precut unassembled paper piecings. The tree is part of the template that you can trace.
Popdots are wonderful to make these squares... well, pop!!
These are the things I used to spruce up my paper piecings. Of course I inked the edges, but then I used a white Zig Writer Chalk Collection to trace Gingy and highlight the scarf & hat of Frosty. I also used red Diamond Glaze on Gingy's nose and pink on the star on the tree. But what was really cool was using Snow Writer (you can get at Michaels) on the white frosting of Gingy to make it look like real frosting... so fun! You could use puffy paint too!
Here are so more things I used:
Swirl Cuttlebug Embossing Folder for the tree
Imaginese Glitter Brads for the buttons on Gingy and the tree.
Little black brads for the cole on Frosty

I used pop dots for dimension...
The title is from cutout sheet and
the moon and clouds from the bonus template...
That ghost is so cute... it woudn't harm a fly!

NEW Kits N Giggles Kit... Popsical Paradise

So this is our NEW kit for this month over at Kits N Giggles. Oh, I just LOVE it!! I had these perfect pics to put on it of a day out in the backyard with the kids playing in the pool and eating popsicles with the neighbors and their cousins. Ashley did such a wonderful job with the penguin paper piecing while I designed the cutout sheet that works so nicely with the patterned paper! I was so excited that I got a layout AND a page out of this kit and I think if I would have tried harder I could have gotten another page out of it!
So head over to
Kits N Giggles
and get this kit... you will LOVE it too!

Here is my example...
I used my Cuttlebug embossing folders & Stickles
on the swimsuits that the penguins are wearing...I added the buttons from my stash...I used pop-dots to add a bit of character...

Here is my extra page that I squeezed out of the same kit.
I love these pics of my sweet little Shay...
I LOVE Stickles... can you tell?!

So Stink'n Much kit...

So we finally have another kit up for sale over at

This one is called "So Stink'n Much" and I absolutely LOVE it!! It was SO fun to put together and easy too! The reason I love it so much is because of the darling skunks that Ashley designed... they are supposed to represent an adult and a child. I used my adult skunk as Grandpa and the child as my son. They both come with bows that can be used to show that the skunk is either a boy or a girl... super smart of her! :) And Julio and I designed the cutout sheet this time around which was SO much fun... we've never did anything like it before, we think it turned out perfect... very versitile! Here is my take... I hope you enjoy!

Grandfather and Grandson...
The kit also comes with "bonus" templates
of a tree, a mushroom and clouds!
I used my CuttleBug to emboss the tree...
I made it looks like a scene in the middle of the layout...

latest layouts...

I recently made these 2 layouts for gifts. I designed the bear and the tutu using my Pazzles and finally actually cut them out and made them... which is a miracle in it's self! lol I love how this layout turned out... simple and it shows off the pictures of my nieces nicely!

I hope to have the bear and the tutu on my Paper Piecing Beehive blog soon for purchase as a digital file or PDF.

I already have my bunny file up for sale over at The Paper Piecing Beehive and I used my CuttleBug to cut our the flowers. I LOVE how this one turned out too!! All the fun Stickles and colors... so yummy!
(You're welcome to copy my designs for you own personal
use, but please don't recreate to sell...thanks a bunch!)

Hop into Spring kit

Our very 1st Kit N Giggles Kit...
Hop into Spring!

Here is my take on this kit put together
using my cute kids as inspiration!
I totally love Stickles (glitter glue)...
I put a bit on all the titles and flowers.

Girl bunny... I added the pink bow from my stash.

Here is a close up of how I detail my bunny and chick...
With an angled makeup sponge, I use a sand colored ink to shade around each piece of the bunny before I assemble her. I use a rose pink ink for the pink parts using the same technique. Then I assemble her sometimes using pop dots, sometimes not... it just depends on what look I'm going for! On this layout, I used pop dots on the nose, hands and feet and then again when I adhered her to my page. Then I take regular old colored pencils in sandy brown colors and doodle around the edges of my bunny. And for the pink cheeks, I use a little pink chalk with a q-tip, but sometimes I'll use the rose pink ink on a make up sponge too. For the white accents, I use a white gel pen and a black gel pen for the eye lashes.

After it is all assembles on the page, then I go back in a use a little Diamond Glaze on the nose, feet. As for the chick... pretty much the same thing went into detailing him just different colors of course.
Click on the picture for a better look!

I used my own buttons for the centers of the flowers!
I uses Cuttlebug Embossing dies on eggs and flowers...
Boy bunny... (no bow) hehe
