Halloween Advent Calendar...

I thought it would be fun to make an advent calendar for Halloween for my two young kids. This is how I made it...

So I started off with a 9x13 cookie sheet from the $1 store. The metal is pretty light, so my hubby made too holes with a large nail and a hammer on the sides of the pan for the ribbon to attach to. Then I did some simple, light scrapbooking on the inside of the pan so it wouldn't be too thick with paper so the magnets would hold to the metal nicely. The paper line I used is BoBunny.
You can find this Curly Tree pattern for FREE HERE at The Paper Piecing Beehive where I sell paper piecing cut files.
Then I went and got the BoBunny "Whoo-ligans" chipboard set to make some of the days. I stamped days on 14 of the chipboard pieces and then for the rest of the days I used Diamond Glaze to put numbers on the bottoms of smooth flat marbles. Then I put magnets on the bottom all 31 pieces. I also put a little Stickles glitter on some of the chipboard pieces.

Here is some close ups & different angles...

Custom Baby Girl Calendar

Here is a custom baby calendar for one of my mom's work friends little girl. Since I had lent out my New Arrival Cricut Cartridge, I ended up having to design a couple new paper piecing and use my Pazzles Inspiration to cut them out. So it took what seemed like forever to make but so worth it... I think it turned out beautiful! I wanted to keep it!

You'll notice that is has both Spanish and English because the little girl, Lilia, was born in America but one or both of her parents are from Mexico. So they wanted her to remember her heritage by including some Latin style to the calendar. It was a fun challenge and thanks to my husband, Julio, for all the Spanish help!

The paper line I used was My Mind's Eye "Be Loved" I also used a couple Cricut cuts from Storybook cartridge.

I'm hoping to have these new paper piecings turned into new cut files for my Paper Piecing Beehive blog for purchase very soon! I hope you enjoy!
